Waiver Wire System Vote

Post by Cheapthief » Mon Oct 29, 2018 8:25 pm

There has been lots of discussion about our waiver wire process so I'm posting a poll to see where owners stand on this.

Option 1:
Keep the current system, and maybe tweak it so that if you put in a waiver claim on a player no one wants, you don't lose your spot in the waiver priority line. If you are either in favor of keeping things as they are, or this small tweak, vote for option 1.

Option 2: Switch to a FAAB system where each team gets a budget they can use to make blind bids on waiver eligible players and the highest bidder would get that player. Once a player uses all of his budget in a season, he can no longer pick up a player. We could either start all owners with the same 1000 bidding units, or stagger that amount based on previous years standings.

Once a player spends his budget he can still pick up a player in some FAAB systems.

if we go FAAB there has to be a floor bid that acutally costs no money. There are times that we require a team to pick up players to keep their roster compliant.

Yup... a $0 bid wins if nobody else bids on the player.

I think we should be voting on a specific thing.
Are we tweeking the new system, is the FABB weighted or not?? These things should be decided before we vote no??
