2019-20 Playoff Continuation Rules and Instructions

So here are the initial plans and proposals that I think are fair for everybody with today's Covid NHL.

We'll only schedule 7 game nights for the playoffs but will play with a 6 game night if a game is postponed after the schedule is made. The schedule for each round will only be official once the previous round has been completed. If a game goes from 7 games to 5 or fewer we will cancel that night as a playoff night and just shift everything one game night forward. For example Feb 7th is a 7 game night that should be the 1st game of the 3rd round. If before the end of the 2nd round it goes from 7 games to 6 it won't be scheduled. If it goes from 7 games to 6 after that round's schedule is official it will be a game night.

Teams can have have their entire roster of 3 goalies and 28 skaters active for all games.

A team can use an additional 1,2 or 3 players from their farm in any game but no more than that. Players from the farm can be moved back and forth from active to farm with no restrictions.

A team's roster can only have a maximum of $90 of contracts including the farm players in use that night. A team can place a player on reserve for any reason from their active roster to allow salary space for farm players. A player placed on reserve must stay on reserve for at least 5 days and not the usual 7. A player placed on reserve for the 1st game will be deemed to have been on reserve on Feb 1st so they can come off of reserve for the game on Feb 6th. All other reserve moves will stay on reserve for 5 days from the time they are put on reserve.

We will use the taxi squad for players who are in a lineup but don't play for any reason. Each team's taxi squad should should list all of their players with any farm players they want to be considered for taxi squad in with the active players. A maximum of 3 farm players will be used in any game no matter what. Each team will put any roster moves in the same thread as their taxi squad and they can make any taxi squad adjustments from game to game that they want in the same thread.

Most teams won't need to make any roster moves at all since only a couple teams will have any salary issues. When you post your lineup just put the farm players in and they are deemed to be active for that game and then back to the farm right after. If a farm player who isn't in your initial lineup is your next priority on your taxi squad that night I'll just put them in your lineup as long as it means no more than 3 farm players that night.

Teams will post their lineup for a game night in the forum in the designated area and I will have a google sheet online that everybody can see with that night's games and scores.
